POWERGRID's 400 kV Jaipur South substation now runs on MultiFusion: 22 cameras, one server, no internet

MultiFusion at POWERGRID Jaipur South: 22 cameras, one server, recordings on site

MultiFusion at POWERGRID Jaipur South — recorded on the live system, 27 October 2026

Jaipur, Rajasthan, 29 October 2026 — Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd’s 400/220 kV Jaipur South substation is now watched by MultiFusion. Freaquer commissioned MultiFusion Server 0.6, Enterprise edition, on the site’s own Windows server on 27 October 2026 and delivered the system documents this week: a user manual written from the site’s own screens, the site licence and a two-minute tour film.

What runs at the site

  • 22 cameras live, on the perimeter fence, the gates, the 400 kV switchyard, the transformer yard and the buildings, all streaming into one MultiFusion server in the control building.
  • Every recording stays on site. Cameras record continuously at 720p, 15 frames per second, to the server’s own drive, with about seven days of history before the oldest footage is overwritten. Nothing leaves the substation and no cloud account exists.
  • One server, no graphics card, no internet. The server has no internet path. The Enterprise licence, valid to October 2028, was activated offline from the console.
  • Mixed makes side by side, including STQC-firmware cameras connected over encrypted RTSPS, which MultiFusion detects and streams through ONVIF.
  • Every camera on the CCTV site plan, pole by pole, and on the real map inside the substation boundary, so an operator knows exactly where an alarm comes from.
  • Alarms the moment something fails. Disk, network and camera faults surface as alarms on the operator’s screen and are acknowledged and resolved there.

Thirteen POWERGRID substations

Freaquer has supplied and installed IP cameras at 13 POWERGRID substations from 220 kV to 765 kV and HVDC, including 765 kV Jhatikara, HVDC Dadri, 400/220 kV Bikaner-II and 400/220 kV Maharani Bagh. Jaipur South is the first of them to run the full MultiFusion platform, and the delivery set it received, the manual, the licence and the film, is what every MultiFusion site now gets.

“A substation that powers a region cannot go dark and cannot go unwatched. At Jaipur South every camera, every recording and every alarm lives on the substation’s own server, and the people who guard the grid see more, find faster and act sooner.” — Deepak Kumar Dwivedi, Founder, Freaquer Corporation Private Limited

What we fixed by hand, and what 0.6.3 fixes for everyone

Commissioning at Jaipur South needed hand work that a customer should never need: camera clocks that were weeks off, sub-streams that had to be set before main streams on some models, a recording drive that should have been chosen automatically. Every one of those items is in the MultiFusion Server 0.6.3 scope so that the next site does it from the user interface. The list is published with the release notes on the Download Center.

MultiFusion runs on 1,664 cameras at five organisations in India. Media contact: info@freaquer.com · +91 77539 84444 · press kit.
